This short film reopens the emphatic “book of all books” once left ajar in the Royal Library of Stockholm. In this iteration, however, it is no longer reserved for the illustrious: the ordinary assumes the place of the famous, and the famous recede into the ordinary. The film expands upon, and reflects critically on, the words Danilo Kiš once left behind in Stockholm.
